Universal Studios Japan newest attraction:The Flying Dinosaur

Universal Studios Japan has just announced details of its newest attraction: a roller coaster called The Flying Dinosaur, which promises to have the world's longest track and the deepest drop ever for a flying coaster!Scheduled to be opened next spring, The Flying Dinosaur will take riders around 360-degree spins and 124-foot (37.8-meter) drops over the entire 3,688-foot (1,124-meter) course, making it the longest flying-coaster course in the world, according to the folks over at USJ.

And this isn't just any old set of rails and rollers either, as The Flying Dinosaur even has a proper theme and back-story. Apparently, after years of careful research and training, the pteranodons at Jurassic Park have successfully been trained to fly with passengers. These are still wild dinosaurs, however, so anything can and will go "wrong", resulting in a heck of a ride for park goers, who will be suspended face-down in midair as if being held in the talons of an enormous pteranodon. The roller coaster is still under construction, but is planned to be finished in time for the 15th anniversary of the park's opening at the end of March 2016.
