Enjoy climax of Asakusa 'Sanja Matsuri'

People crowded the streets of Tokyo's Asakusa district for the climax of an annual festival featuring a procession of 3 large portable shrines.The "Sanja Matsuri" at Asakusa Shrine signals the arrival of summer. Sunday is the last day of the 3-day festival.Men and women wearing "happi" coats carried the portable shrines on their shoulders. Each shrine weighs about one ton.
