New chapter opens in Japan's aviation history


Japan's first domestically produced passenger jet made its maiden test flight from Nagoya Airport here on Nov. 11.The prototype Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ), a small-size jetliner, was in the air for about 90 minutes as the crew took it through its paces, testing basic navigation functions such as ascent, descent and left and right turns.
