US magazine ranks Kyoto as best destination again

Readers of a major US travel magazine have chosen Kyoto as the best city to visit for the 2nd year in a row.
Travel and Leisure announced on Tuesday a list of the top 10 travel destinations voted by its readers.
Kyoto got the top place in the overall ranking. The magazine's website says the city was the Japanese capital for more than 1,000 years and preserves Imperial history. It also says Kyoto has more than 2,000 temples and shrines.

Charleston, the oldest city in the US state of South Carolina, comes second. Siem Reap in Cambodia, where Angkor Wat is located, is third.The Italian cities of Florence and Rome are ranked fourth and fifth. The ranking was decided by 6 categories such as culture and arts, and cuisine.
