日本開播4K畫質節目 全球第一 / Japan to start 4K TV broadcast

日本今日開始，在全國試驗播放4K電視，每日播放六小時。4K電視的解像度，比目前的高清電視高四倍。業界正爭取以新制式，播放巴西世界盃決賽周賽事，從而刺激4K電視的生產及銷售。當局還計劃在2016年開始，推出更高解像度的8K電視，以實現在2020年東京奧運作電視直播。

根據《日本新聞網》報導，日本即將於下月2日起，全國開始試播4K像素的超高畫質（Ultra HD；UHD）電視節目，成為全世界第一個實際播出4K電視節目的國家，目前暫定每天播出6小時。日本總務大臣新藤義孝今（20）日在記者會上，宣布自6月2日起，全日本將開始試播4K電視節目，正式進入「4K時代」。

The Japanese government is set to launch the world's first 4K TV broadcast in July 2014, roughly two years ahead of schedule, to help stir demand for ultra high-definition televisions, the Asahi newspaper reported on Sunday without citing sources.The service will begin from communications satellites, followed by satellite broadcasting and ground digital broadcasting, the report said.

主管電視頻道業務的總務省指出，4K畫質的節目，將統一於4K電視頻道中播出，預計每天播出6小時。新藤義孝也表示，6月12日開賽的巴西世界盃足球賽，屆時4K頻道也會提供超高畫質的直播服務。日本政府期待，世足賽熱潮將可喚起消費者對於4K超高畫質電視的需求，藉此刺激近年來不斷被韓國大廠超越的國內電視產業。

The 4K TVs, which boast four times the resolution of current high-definition TVs, are now on sale by Japanese makers including Sony Corp (6758.T), Panasonic (6752.T) and Sharp Corp (6753.T). Other manufacturers include South Korea's LG Electronics (066570.KS). Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications had aimed to kick-start the 4K TV service in 2016. That has been brought forward to July 2014, when the final match of the 2014 football World Cup is set to take place in Brazil, the Asahi report said.

「4K」電視的畫素，比起市面上一般高畫質（Full HD）電視還高4倍，來到3840 x 2160，約為800萬畫素，由於其橫向畫素約有4千個，故稱為4K電視。一般的高畫質電視無法收看4K畫質的電視節目，必須換裝4K電視才有辦法收看。日本已全面進入4K時代，但台灣目前的數位化時程仍持續緩步進行中。

In Japan, the development of super high-definition 8K TVs is in progress, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications plans to launch the test 8K TV broadcast in 2016, two years ahead of schedule, it said.
